This important issue requires the international response and is the subject of the Council of Europe Convention on the counterfeiting of medical products and similar crimes involving threats to public health (Medicrime Convention). It was signed in Moscow in 2011. Currently, it has been signed by 28 countries and ratified by 14 countries including the Russian Federation.
